About Course

This course will provide you with the knowledge, skills, and experience to tell a story using data – which requires a mix of communication skills, understanding the context and the ability to apply these skills in an engaging and challenging domains.

Description

Over one day you’ll understand the science of storytelling. Why storytelling makes the brain light up in a way no other form of communication does. You will learn data visualisation and how to make clear charts, slides, make strategic use of colours and how to bring clarity through story structure and humanise the data so that it sticks.

How will I learn

In one day packed course you will learn practical skills to communicate and humanise data through the art of storytelling. The contents will be delivered through interactive media such as videos, screenshots and infographics, as well as traditional study notes. Learning will be collaborative through discussion forums, quizzes, assignments and through portfolio of projects.
